Welcome to my Blog!

Hello and welcome to Cardio Pizza! My name is Lindsey and I’m 26 years old with a huge passion for all things fitness and wellness!

Cardio Pizza was started in April of 2010 to share my love for fitness, food, and fun with my family and friends.  I currently reside in Cleveland, OH and live with my boyfriend of  5 years, Andy, along with our two crazy dogs Boo and Sophia, who are both 3 year-old rescues.

My passion for health and wellness started early on and I decided to study it in college and through graduate school to land a full time job doing what I love. My education is in Health Promotion and Education (Bachelor’s Degree) and Exercise Physiology (Master’s Degree).  I’m a certified Group Exercise instructor, Yoga Fit instructor, PHI Pilates Mat instructor, and TurboKick instructor. I currently work full time as a Fitness Specialist doing employee wellness programming for a company in Cleveland.  You can read more about my job here!

I chose to name my blog Cardio Pizza since those are two of my favorite things: Cardio exercise and eating pizza.   I’ve always enjoyed a good cardio workout, especially running and group cycling/spinning.   I have also always enjoyed a good slice (or 3) of pizza!

Living a healthy lifestyle does not mean being perfect with your workouts or eating habits.  In fact, I think it’s the exact opposite.  It’s about eating and exercising in a way that adds happiness to your life.  Does strict dieting and hours upon hours a day of exercise add happiness to your life? Certainly not  mine.  How about doing workouts that I enjoy and have fun with while moderately eating any kind of food I like? Yes, please!  That is what Cardio Pizza is all about!
